She is presently completing her A Levels education in Podar International School.
She has worked with Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta as a child artiste in Rakesh Roshan's Koi Mil Gaya.
Hannsikaa has also done adfilms and television serials for Samsung, Pepsi and Bournvita.
She made her debut in the movie Desamuduru, a telugu movie.
Her first Bollywood release as an actress was 'Aap Ka Surroor' opposite Himesh Reshammiya.
She also took part in Celebrity Fame Gurukul, a singing competition among some other celebrities for charity.
Although Hannsikaa knows a number of languages, she mainly speaks English and Hindi.
She changed the spelling of her name from 'Hansika' to 'Hansikaa' on Himesh's advice.
She gained a lot of weight for the movie 'Aap Ka Surroor' to look mature enough for Himesh, but now she is on a strict diet and working and has lost that extra weight.
Hansikaa is also doing a movie with with Mimoh, Mithun's son. Title of the movie is 'He, the Only One'.

Budding actor Hansika Motwani, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Himesh Reshammiya in “Aap Ka Suroor”, has a natural flair for painting and hits the canvass whenever she gets time. According to sources, she has been painting ever since the age of three and has a huge collection of water colour canvases. Her mother even has a wish to hold an exhibition of her paintings.
“Yes! My mother tells me it would be a good source of income for a rainy day. But jokes apart, I really love painting. It makes me very happy and relieves all my stress. In fact, I love teaching it too,” Hansika was quoted as saying.
Apparently, Hansika, who was earlier seen as child actor on television, has been teaching art to students in her college as well as in an NGO close to her house.
She is also busy with her next venture titled “Money Hai Toh Honey Hai” opposite Govinda.
