Genelia denies rumours of marriage

Genelia D’Souza, one of the most wanted actresses in Indian film industry after the back to back success of Bommarilu, Santhosh Subramanyam and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na has denied reports of any relationship with Riteish Deshmukh.
Remember, she had teamed up with the actor for her debut film in Hindi Tujhe Meri Kasam. Later there were many rumours about them. The recent one was that both had married secretly against the wishes of their parents.
But the cute girl has completely denied all their rumours and reports about her affair with the actor.She commented, "I’m very much single. Riteish is my friend. That’s all. Actually I don’t have time for romance in real life with anyone. It is all happening in reel life only. I’ve no idea where these rumours emerge from. Deshmukh is my close friend and we both are very busy in films.
When we occasionally meet up, we normally speaking about our films and career.""I haven’t planned anything in my life. It has happened automatically, but when I see how I was appreciated down south, I fell in love with the industry. I’ve planned to do more films in South", says the actress.

Cute Genelia is adamant!

Genelia, who is currently making waves in Bollywood, Kollywood and Tollywood is a much sought - after heroine, especially with her films becoming major blockbusters at the box office. She has risen to absolute stardom with the films ’Ready’ (Telugu), ’Bommarilu’ (Telugu) which was remade in Tamil as ’Santosh Subramaniam’. The same film is now being remade in Hindi as ’Life Partner’ and Genelia is expected to don the cute girl role for the third time.
Be it the Telugu ’Bommarilu’ or the Tamil ’Santosh Subrmaniam’, Genelia was the screen-stealer, enticing everyone with her charming looks and suave performance.
She is now expected to render the same and win accolades among Hindi audiences as well with ’Life Partner’, for which 60% of the shoot is over. She is simultaneously busy with a Telugu flick being directed by Krishna Vamsi.
There were rumors doing the rounds in the industry that Genelia had started demanding exorbitant salary to act in movies. But the talented actress denies these allegations, saying that she has totally devoted her time only for two films and that her hectic schedules did not allow her to be part of the other commitments.
"Not the matter of pay, but it is the matter of time" says the sizzling actress.

Genelia might face a possible ban

Actress Genelia D’Souza might face a possible ban from the Tamilnadu Artistes’ Association for not becoming a member of the association even after five years as an actress.
Genelia started out featuring in an ad for the product Fair and Lovely. Impressed with her performance in the commercial, director Shankar cast her in ’Boys’ and then the floodgates opened for her. She then starred in many Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.
Genelia paired with Vijay in the film ’Sachin’ and then tasted sweet success playing a naïve and yet sweet girl in ’Santhosh Subramanaiam’.The Tamilnadu Artistes’ Association had in fact informed her to become a member many times but failed to receive any communication from her. An official letter has now been sent to her underscoring the point of a possible ban.
Many of the actors who featured in ’Chennai 600028’ have also been dispatched letters as they too have not yet become members of the association.Interestingly, actresses Nayantara, Trisha and Priyamani became members very recently after pressure for the association.

The young actress also said that she should have a meaty role in a movie and does not like to be branded as a heroine who appears in a couple of scenes and songs and fades away from a movie.

Simbu joind with Genelia

Kollywood little superstar Silambarasan decided to revive his shelved project Kettavan soon. Earlier Lekha Washington and Namitha were supposed to share the screen with Simbu in this film. But now Simbu has replaced Lekha with Genelia, a close source to the unit disclosed.
The actress became the heartthrob now in Tamil Cinema after the sensational hit of Santosh Subramanyam, has also conveyed positive signals to the actor, according to the source. Simbu dropped this project earlier for some unknown reasons, after the completion of 50 percent portions of the film. It has been shelved just a month before its audio release.
But the story and interesting script of the film forced the actor to revive the same. But this time he is in the mood of directing himself.
