Charmi retuns to jolt audiences

Actress Charmi, introduced by director Vijaya T Rajendher in Tamil cinema with Kadhal Azhivathillai, is back again after rocking Telugu audiences and a brief hiatus. She now plays the female lead in a horror flick titled ’Manthra’.
Directed by Tulasiram, ’Manthra’ has musical score by Anand. The movie features popular Telugu actor Sivaji opposite Charmi. ’Manthra’ is about an aspiring pop singer, who goes into revenge mode in order to kill all those behind her friends’ murders.
Charmi says, ’I enjoyed working in the movie for it has tremendous scope for glamour and action. At a time when hero-dominated films are the norm, an actress rarely gets an opportunity to work in such movies. I am confident ’Manthra’ will help re-establish myself in the industry.’

Angel Charmi at Green Park Hotel

The unit of Cosmos Entertainment’s Ladam met the press recently to launch a website and talk about the film. Director Prabu Solomon, actors Charmi and debutant hero Aravindan along with debut cameraman Sukumar met the press at Green Park Hotel on Friday afternoon.
Charmi was all smiles and lauded the efforts of the director in believing in his project and seeing it through some very tough times. At one time the movie was almost shelved but Prabu was convinced about the viability of the project and made it possible.
Charmi plays the role of Angel, a very positive character with a strong comical streak. “I hope this film will give me the right break in Tamil. My role has immense scope to perform and I had the opportunity of imitating many actors which I have not done even in Telugu industry so far.”, says the actress sporting her famous smile.
There is also a lip lock in the film which was shot in one take but “from seven angles” clarified Charmi. The director Prabu praised Charmi saying “she was as co-operative as any technician through this film and did not behave like a star. She will be seen in a new light after this film.” He thanked producers JP Kumar and DY Chowdary and had also a word of praise for debutant cameraman Sukumar who has “done an excellent job in the film”.
According to Prabu Solomon the movie is an unusual one indeed. It has no conventional love story angle but is about a girl and a boy who are good friends and how they help each other in certain tough situations in their life. The team is sure that Ladam is going to be a path breaking film in Tamil.
Aravindan is the new hero whose tagline in the film’s promos reads, “they called him cockroach”. Though Charmi kept jocularly referring to him as Karupamboochi through out, he seemed to take no offence and explained that his role was about an innocent guy who is trapped into certain situations. Dharan has done the music, and one of the songs is written by journalist Eknath.

Srikanth joins with Charmi

The film Kousalya Supraja Rama with Srikanth and Charmi in the lead roles is progressing at a brisk pace.
D Surya Prasad is the director and D Ramanaidu is producing the film under the Suresh Films’ banner. Ramanaidu said that the talkie part has almost been completed. The unit will move to Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur on July 9 to film two songs. After that the unit will return to Hyderabad and film the climax.
Koti is scoring the music for the film. Ramana Gogula and Srilekha have lent their voice for a song in the film.

Charmi likes heroine oriented movies

The sexy ,hot and charming actress of Telugu audiences is Charmi. She was the most happening girl in Tollywood as she doesn’t show any inhibition in exposing her beauties. Charmi is now acting in a new film titled ’16 Days’ where she has posed little more hot than usual. She is acting opposite a newcomer, Aravind in the film.
The film is a suspense thriller along the lines of ’Manthra’. Charmi is said to have done some daring exposing scenes in the film. She has also done a hot kissing scene in the film for which she charged the producer an extra two lakhs. The film is generating a lot of interest as Charmi has the capacity to pull in the crowds to the theatres.
For a fees of additional Rs 2 lacs, Actress Charmi, who is doing a movie titled "16 days" gave a lip locking kiss to a new face named Aravind. Aravind was found freezed with her kiss and said to have paid the producer that Rs 2 lacs from his pocket.Charmi is taking every opportunity to expose her body parts for additional money.Charmi aims to out perform Namitha and Nila and wanted to be identified as No 1 item in Kollywood!

Charmi with Aravind for 16 days

Kollywood glamourous actress Charmi’s latest is a heroine-oriented role in 16 Days, a film directed by Prabhu Solomon and produced by P Mahesh Babu and D. Nageswara Rao under Cosmos Entertainment banner. Aravind, who was Mani Ratnam’s co-director, is debuting as hero. A song was filmed recently for the movie at Annapurna Seven Acres Studio, Hyderabad.
The director said, "The film revolves around an incident that took place within 16 days, hence the title 16 Days was chosen. Bhaskarabhatla wrote the lyrics and Dharan set them to music. Chinni Prakash choreographed the song."
Charmi said, "The shooting will be wrapped up with this song. my role is that of an angel, something I have never done before; I expect this to be one of my best .The hero and heroine fall in love within 16 days and something unexpected happens on the last day."
Chinni Prakash said, "I have choreographed a song in Telugu after a long gap. Charmi’s a natural dancer and was very comfortable doing some difficult footwork."
